How much is my injury claim worth?

No one can tell you what your claim is worth in an initial telephone call.  No text message sent can predict whether your claim is worth £3000 or £30,000.   If a claim is assessed by a court, many elements are taken into account.  Compensation is paid both for the injury and for other losses arising from the injury such as treatment costs or loss of earnings.

Compensation for injuries is based on the type of injury, the long term effects, whether a full recovery has been made, whether the injury will cause problems in the future etc.  Expert Medical evidence is required to determine the valuation of a personal injury claim.

In order to assess valuation a Solicitor does have guidance from case law and the Judicial studies board guidelines (a guide that is provided to the Courts).

The guidelines provided below are only a rough estimate of the amount of compensation you could be entitled to for the injury only.
